Dr. Jon Ritter

Physical Therapist, Orthopedic & Pickleball Specialist

Dr. Jon has been an athlete his whole life, from participating in competitive basketball, swimming running and specifically fell in love with teaching movement & coaching others after high school. In addition to earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy at Shenandoah University, he has also studied & taught multiple movement practices including parkour, free-running and pilates. In his spare time he enjoys playing pickleball, rock climbing & hiking and staying active with his wife & two kids.

Dr. Jon has worked with numerous pickleball players from beginner to advanced, helping them get back on court pain free. He takes a root cause, functional approach to his evaluation and treatment in order to not only decrease his client's pain & symptoms but provide them with long term solutions.

What to expect at the workshop:

Get moving: Dr. Jon will be leading you through movement tests to assess your current mobility & provide you with specific mobility exercises to improve.

Targeted Strength Exercises: Pickleball has unique requirements, which means you can't do any old strength routine. Learn the top strength moves that pickleball players need to move quicker, recovery faster & stay injury free.

Expert Guidance: Dr. Jon will show you modifications for each exercise as needed to meet you where you're at an ensure proper form.

Confidence with implementation: Leave the workshop understanding how to implement what you've learned into your daily routine.

FAQ

What should I wear to the workshop?

Where clothes you can comfortably move in as you will be performing movement tests, mobility moves and strength exercises.

I'm currently injured, can I still come?

Absolutely! This is the perfect workshop to attend if you have an injury as you will learn things you can work on. There will also be time after the workshop to talk more specifically with Dr. Jon about any injuries you may be dealing with. We will also provide modifications for any movements that may cause pain.

I'm new to pickleball, is this workshop for me?

Yep! This is the perfect workshop for newbie's to pros as everyone can benefit from the content that will be taught.

What should I bring?

Just bring yourself! You are welcome to bring a water bottle and yoga mat if you would like, but we will have everything you need!
